SPIRIT LANGUAGE PROJECT
APRIL NOTES
Over the last few months, I’ve done my best to speak to them in between taking care of mymom's flowers and helping around the town. I noticed that, over time, they seem to understand me no matter what I say to them. I like to think it's because I'm getting better but it could be because they have no need for sentence structure.
Like the other day: I was trying to ask them about how they've been so far and it was complete gibberish. Don't know why I couldn't string together, 'How have you been?' but they understood me. I think long as you complete the melody, they'll be able to understand the spirit, rather than the letter, of the message. (Geddit?) Though something to note: They get super upset if you don't finish your sentence from my experience. (Considered rude?)

Working on the final expansion for the spirit language app today! Held off on an April Update since I want to ensure the quality of the transcriptions of the other musical instruments.
If I'm lucky enough, the final files in my tablet will be reviewed one last time for quality control. I'll upload them when I have the time. Maybe this week?

SPIRIT TUTORS.
Er… For the lack of a better description. This is a list I've been working on for a while. These are the spirits I’ve found who are willing to indulge you in long conversations if you’re trying to get used to speaking their language. Maybe the others are shy in trying to learn the language because there's no one to practice again when I'm busy? This could help them out! Hopefully.

Postmaster General.
The Postmaster General, duh. Usually found in the Post Office! Really cool spirit. If you're willing to help them out in their place, they'll chat with you in between work.
Kretek Clove.
A lanky, wispy spirit who smells faintly of an ashtray. Wears a cloak that has the faded design of the starry sky on it. Very quiet and patient so they're great to speak with and you actually want to have a conversation. SUPER DEEP voice, though, so watch out for that.
The Assistant.
A small spirit you can easily recongise for how clean they are. Their sheet is crisp and clean and you almost can't see the mending they had to do. Pretty skittish and shy but happy to have a chat with someone if you're polite. Twitchy when there's a chance of them being exposed to a mess, though, so try to respect their boundaries.
