This is because Daylight sees the world with rose coloured optics thanks to the way he was raised with love and kindness, with guardians telling him that everything will be alright and going out of their way to prove that itāll be alright. Why wouldnāt he think all will be well if you put a little effort into it, given his background?
Daylight is a go-getter and not one for idle hands, idle mind. He needs to do something, anything. Heās someone who will, while not take charge, be in the frontlines and while he wonāt be spearheading the movement ā he doesnāt think he has what it takes to do such a thing ā he will give it all heās got if heās thrown his hat into the ring. Walk the walk and talk the walk, you know? Thatās Daylightā Heās active and eager to get involved in something. Especially if the something means they help others in need since he has a big heart that easily spills over and he wants to help others, wants to follow in the footsteps of those who raised him and tried their level best in helping others too.

While he does favour active hobbies and tasks that allows him to burn his boundless amount of energies, Daylight surprisingly has a sensitive and sweet side to him. Though his fumbling with words when speaking may not hint at it, he is amazing at writing and heās talented at the arts. He loves to draw, to write, to sing, to create with his own hand. He adores nature ā especially flowers, perhaps inheriting it from his motherās side ā and loves to garden if the chance comes up, having a green thumb for when it comes to nursing planets and vegetables.

Daylight so badly wants to prove the world heās more than his parents: the famous Healing Eclipse AKA Lorem Laurel and Radiance vis Noxolarium, the Sundered Star. Daylight both looks up to them and wants to be better than them, in a way. He has a strange relationship with his mother and father, carrier and creator and the very reasons heās alive today. Despite never getting the chance to know them, he knows everything he thinks he needs to know about them but not through his own actions. No. He knew his parents thanks to his extended family ā His great grandpa and grandma and aunties and uncles and everyone else in between.
He was raised on stories and anecdotes where they painted in the best light. Where they were legends and lore, stars and lights in their own ways. They saved the world. They loved him very much and wanted the best for him. Perhaps itās no surprise that this would make him feel very insecure and very unsure of himself. He feels the weight of expectations weighing on his shoulders, feels historyās eyes on him with every choice and decision he males. He both admires them and is eager to prove heās better than them, wanting to make them proud and wanting to show heās so much more than their son.
The most important thing to know about Daylight is that he was raised on the stories of fantastical adventures, daring rescues, and impossible wins. It couldn't be helped considering the type of people who raised him ā Groundbreakers, trailblazers, individuals who changed the very foundation of where they're from. His family saw through wars, brokered peace, created foundations and legacies that are known in history books and biographies and teary-eyed individuals who look at him and go, āI knew them. They were amazing.ā
To them, these stories are just that: Stories and testaments of things they did and nothing more. To someone like Daylight. Someone who was (and still is) young and impressionable and eager to figure himself out while he was growing up in the sleepy town of Dust Tumbles and the static silence of Neutral Grounds? These stories were so much more for the little bot growing up on nothing but heroics and dreams. They were his goals, his aspirations. His milestones in his long, long life to show he is worth something after all, to show he can live up to his parentsā names and, perhaps, be more than them because heās so eager to help others and be of use it hurts.
